The original plan was to go bowling on March 12th (my birthday) and then head out and drive to Betty's in Latrobe. She has nice accommodations and the price is right but as luck would have it the storm of the season was expected in Vermont about the time we would be leaving . . . so . . .we called Hertz and got the car a day early, packed it up and headed out on the 11th. Luckily we were also able to change our reservations at the Soxman Inn and add an extra night at no extra charge.
We were also fortunate to have our son Brad join us for dinner the night before we headed out. We later realized that in the course of the next month we would see all 4 of the kids . . . a very unusual occurrence.
