| We spent the morning here |
We also told him about the brakes and he called Hertz to verify that they would pay for the check. Our front tires and brakes needed to be replaced and the Firestone Dealership was very good about getting the job completed as fast as they could to get us back on the road again. Hertz will be getting the car back in better condition than we took it out.
On the way back to the hotel we filled the gas tank so we could spend the afternoon geocaching a power trail. We loaded the GPS had a quick lunch of Subway and were on our way. The geocache owner had described the road as being accessible to regular vehicles unless the road it was wet and muddy. The road today was dry but HOLEY COW the ruts would have eaten our rental car. We tried a few but it just wasn't fun and as Pa Yoopers says If the caching isn't fun why do it? so we decided to give up the power trail and go for Plan B a few Virtual caches in Boise. In the end that was definitely the better plan. We had fun and were back to the hotel early enough for the rest of the laundry and catching up on the blog.
The first stop on our Boise adventure was

| The trail is on the center of the top ridge |
then to the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial Park . . .a very interesting and beautiful park in downtown Boise
On the way to the park we crossed an old railroad bridge over the Boise River with an interesting sign
Most places make it illegal to jump . . . here you can jump at your own risk but it is illegal to hit someone below or jump on a turd in the river . . . not sure which one.
We also saw the capital building
The highlight of the afternoon was seeing
it is an old fashion Drive In that was featured on one episode of Diners Drive Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri

We had some delicious milkshakes before heading back to the hotel. We had one more exciting adventure in store. Tonight we went to
I even found a beer I could drink and enjoy and a very nice meal. All in all a great day in Boise.
Tomorrow another try at geocaching a second power trail near Boise.
