03/17/14 More fun in Lake Havasu on St Patty's Day

You have got to love it when you get up in the morning and the temperature is warmer than the high temperature on almost any day we have had at home all winter. No jacket needed and the day time high would get into the 90's but as we have always heard it isn't the heat that gets you it is the humidity and out here there isn't any humidity.
After a quick breakfast at the hotel in Parker, AZ we headed back up North to Lake Havasu for more fun in the sun. Today we were going to drive a dune buggy on the Island for a few caches and Mary Ann volunteered to doggy-sit Trixie while we were riding around.

Cruising around town
A little tour of town on the way to the lake and a quick lesson in driving a dune buggy and we were ready to go. Al and I both had a blast. We might have to come back and do some more exploring.

I even got to drive it

Just one more pic . . . the Spring Breakers across the channel from where we were hanging out with the dogs. It was really a pretty amusing sight College Coeds partying on one side and old people on the other watching them.

Al and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time here but tomorrow we move on down the road for some Power Trail caching between Parker, AZ and Twentynine Palms, CA. The temperature tomorrow is suppose to be about 80 and of course sunny.
